2001 Jaguar R2 news, pictures, and information

Jaguar's Formula One car for the 2001 season was the R2. Their car was piloted by Eddie Irvine, who was in his second season with the team, and Luciano Burti. Burti was replaced by Pedro de la Rosa after four Grand Prix's.

The 2001 season for Jaguar was slightly better than its prior season. The team would score 9 points and finish the season 8th in the Constructors' Championship. The R2 was succeeded by the Jaguar R3.

The R2 was powered by a Cosworth CRS V10 and fitted to a Jaguar 7-speed semi-automatic sequential gearbox. It rode on Michelin tires and was fueled by Texaco gasoline.
