The six-cylinder Hercules engine had seven main bearings, was cooled by a gear-driven water pump, and offered 91 bhp at 3200 RPM. The powerplant was mated to a Warner T9 four-speed manual gearbox.
This Diamond T pick-up truck spent most of its working life in Colorado or Wyoming on farms. It was purchased in the mid-1990s by the current owner, who began a complete off-frame restoration that took five years. Nearly 50% of the restoration work was performed by the owner.
Among the features of this truck are cast steel spoke wheels, Warner T-9 four-speed transmission, 13-leaf rear springs, cast steel brake shoes and a 4,000 pound load rating.
This Diamond T pick-up truck is powered by a Hercules type QXL03 motor. The company's slogan was 'The Handsomest Truck in America.' The late 1940's were the company's peak years of production.
