2012 Mazzanti Evantra

From the project 'Mugello' has born the production-ready version of the new supercar of F&M by Mazzanti automobili: Evantra.
Following the F&M tradition the name comes from the ancient etruscan language and it represents the concept of an object which is unique and exclusive, in fact, Evantra for the etruscan was the goddess of immortality.




The design of the Evantra was created by Luca Mazzanti together with Zsolt Tarnok (F&M chief designer), in concept it is the perfect equilibrium of classic and modern sportscars.

The smooth surfaces, the classicaly shaped fenderlines come from the traditional classic cars which influenced most the past creations of F&M. For the styling of the Evantra a modern and a bit more aggressive appearance was desired, so in the details more modern solutions were used. Such parts are the shape of the lights, with the modern LED lights, and the precise and neat outlines and connections of the air inlets and outlets around the car. These virtually different concepts have been merged togehter in harmony to create this unique supercar, F&M Evantra.



The lightweight steel chassis, the low center of gravity, the low kerb weight and the performance of the engine - available as naturally aspirated or biturbo - all add up to the spectacular dinamism of the Evantra. Besides the balance of the car makes it absolutely at home on any racetrack or on a remote mountain road.
The body is a 2 seat coupe.

The bodywork is produced in two different steps, the first called PRO-BODY: made of composite materials, which is always available, or the second, called ONE-BODY: entirely hand crafted, all aluminim body, personalized by the client. With this option the client can have a project dedicated exclusively to the single vehicle, virtually building a One-off.

Logo Restyling
On the occasion of presenting the new creation 'F&M Evantra', Luca Mazzanti is proud to present the new logo 'F&M By Mazzanti Automobili'completely renewed as well: the restyling was suggested by more reasons, of which the most important is the new and more modern look of the new creation which surely will influence the design of the future cars of F&M too.

Handmade in Italy
Based on the strong automotive culture of Italy, which has seen the first cars to have custom made bodyworks and some of the most innovative and modern cars, and also on the tradition of producing hadcrafted goods in a way almost incomparable in the world, F&M realize the creations in Italy at the edge of the beautiful tuscany hills.

Luca Mazzanti
Born in the wonderful tuscany, in Pistoia on the 1st of February 1974. Since his childhood he has always been enthusiast of motorsports, he did drawings of cars and modifed models, cherishing the dream of becoming a supercar-builder.

Besides his studies, at the end of the 80's he starts to work in the family carbody-workshop. From the beginning of the 90's he collaborates with who later became his real master: Mario Faralli. In more than twenty years he has gained his vast experience restoring some of the rarest and most important cars ever made: Cisitalia 202, Ferrari 500 Mondial, the Maserati 450 Costin/Zagato denominated 'Il mostro' prepared specially for Sir Stirling Moss for the 24 hours race of Le mans in 1957.

Quite often he finds himself in a situation, where he has to rebuild completely some cars, where the bodywork has been totally perished and nothing else remained but the chassis and some faded photographs. All this, recreating the shapes from alluminium totally by pure handwork.

Meanwhile his huge enthusiasm for motorsports turns into a passion also for motorbikes, which makes him create a really particular ‘special' on the mechanics of a Ducati. Besides his love of speed makes him partecipating in many hillclimb races with sport prototype vehicles and Abarth restorated personally.

In 2001 he designs and creates a ‘barchetta' with Walter Faralli for a client and this triggers the birth of the brand F&M Auto. The constant growth of reputation and credibility through the numerous personal projects made for the clients and particularly the Antas and the Vulca led to be one of the acclaimed luxury carmakers. During the years the creations of F&M were invited to the most presigious luxury car shows in the world, as in case of the Antas also in some important cinema projects.

Now, after 3 years working side by side with designer Zsolt Tarnok, Luca Mazzanti is ready to present the first mid-engine vehicle by F&M, which is projected to be produced in a small series, each example personalized by the owner, denominated: Evantra.
