Power came from a four-cylinder engine displacing 165 cubic-inches and offering about 23 horsepower. They had a three-speed sliding gear transmission and mechanical brakes on two wheels.

This example was restored by Robert Farris of Speedwell Engineering, LTD., in Canton, Georgia. This 1912 Buick 34 Roadster was acquired in 1982 by James Farris as a good older restoration. It was in good original mechanical condition and was able to be driven and enjoyed for nearly 3 decades.

In 1983, the Buick Motor Corporation invited the owners to drive MVP Quarterback Joe Namath to the center of the field during Super Bowl XX half-time ceremonies to receive recognition for his many contributions to the National Football League. A total authentic restoration of the car was started in 2009 and completed in April 2012.
