1967 Buick Riviera

The 1966 Buick Riviera was given a new body and new styling, the first major update since 1963. For 1967, the Riviera was slightly updated with a new grille, modified rocker moldings, and new tail-lamps. The Riviera script could be found on the front fenders and the deck lid. The wheelbase measured 119 inches and the body styles including a 2-door hardtop coupe. The base price was $4,190 and 42,799 examples produced. The Riviera was a rear-drive version of the new perimeter-frame design used on the front-wheel-drive Oldsmobile Toronado.

Standard equipment on the Riviera was a Super Turbine transmission, power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust, heater, defroster, tilt steering wheel, retractable seat belts, electric clock, glove box lights, trunk light, and Custom padded seats. They also were given license frames, carpeting, a Glare-proof mirror, and an outside rearview mirror.

For an additional $138, buyers could order the Riviera with Gran Sport Equipment, which added heavy-duty front and rear shocks, positive traction differential, front fender and instrument panel GS monograms, and white stripe or Wide oval red tires.
