Hardy Racers Turn Up The Heat As The 76Th Members' Meeting Gets UnderwayThe early murk has cleared over the Goodwood Motor Circuit, and a mouthwatering array of historic racing cars are currently storming the track in what promises to be a thrilling Members' Meeting. It may be chilly, but it isn't snowing! In addition to a packed race programme, there will be high-speed demonstrations of V8-engined Formula 5000 single-seaters and flame-spitting Group 5 sports and saloon cars. There will also be a minute's noise for the much-missed 'Fevermeister', Henry Hope-Frost, who was the voice of Goodwood for so many years.

New races for 2018 include the Caracciola Sportwagenrennen for pre-war sports cars and the Bolster Cup, named after legendary journalist, 'specials' builder and ERA racer, John Bolster. A remarkable field of modified and one-off 1920s and '30s machines will be vying for honours tomorrow. Grand Prix star turned TV pundit David Coulthard will also be making his Members' Meeting debut at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The Scot is using the event to launch the new IWC Schaffhausen racing team which will spearhead IWC Shaffhausen's involvement in historic motorsport this season.

Away from the track action, visitors can also enjoy cookery demonstrations before sampling some of the finest cheeses and meats (plus a tipple or two) from our Home Farm. There are also plenty of bands in full swing and other electrifying acts to enjoy. Oh, and do take time out to enjoy the daffodils which are in full bloom!

Tickets to the 2018 Festival of Speed (July 12-15) and the Goodwood Revival (September 7-9) are on sale at www.goodwood.com and at the Goodwood Ticket Office on 01243 755 055.
