1985 Oldsmobile Toronado

Due to poor sales, the 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado was no longer offered with a six-cylinder engine. The only engines were V8's, with the base engine being a 5-liter which offered 140 horsepower. A diesel V8 engine was also available, offering 105 horsepower. The base engine had new exhaust manifold, new liters, and various other internal changes. The engine was backed by a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission.

The Oldsmobile Toronado received few visual changes for 1985. The front grille was changed slightly. Standard equipment included power steering and brakes, Four Season air conditioner, power windows, automatic leveling, AM/FM stereo radio with electronic tuning, tinted glass, digital clock, and six-way power driver's seat. They had dual remote mirrors, bodyside moldings, and cornering lamps.

Oldsmobile again offered the Caliente package which was RPO Code WJ8. Buyers who selected this option received a padded landau vinyl roof, front-end panel emblem, dual power mirrors, Tempmatic air conditioning, additional body side moldings, and a stainless steel crown. They also had a leather-wrapped steering wheel, electronic instrument panel, and wire wheel covers.
