1991 Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo

The Alpina B10 was based on the BMW E34 535i and was produced from 1987 to 1994. During its production lifespan, a total of 507 examples were built with just 270 examples believed to be left worldwide, with four in the United States. They were developed at a cost of $3.2 million and introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 1989. At the time of its introduction, it was the fastest production sedan in the world.

When building each B10, Alpina dismantled a BMW M30 engine, replaced the stock pistons with forged Mahle units, added a Bosch variable boost control with a range of 0.4 - 0.8 bar, and installed two Garrett T25 water-cooled turbochargers. Additional modifications included a Getrag 290 5-speed manual transmissions, Alpina-tuned suspension with Bilstein shocks used on the front and automatic-load levelling units by Fichtel & Sachs were used in the rear. Large 13.1-inch discs from UK-based Lucas Girling were installed and Michelin MXX tires were standard.

Zero-to-sixty took about 5.6 seconds and it had a top speed of over 290 km/h.
