Maseratis and Microcars Featured at 2015 Keeneland Concours d'Elegance

12th Year of Keeneland Concours to Display Diverse Array of Classic and Collectible Automobiles.

LEXINGTON, KY – MAY 21, 2015
– More than 140 of the finest and most exciting classic cars will be on display for the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance, July 18 at the historic Keeneland Race Course.

Famed Italian automaker Maserati is the featured marque. Showcasing the company's 100th anniversary, there will be 2 classes of historic and modern Maserati autos displayed on the show field. The show runs 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Keeneland Race Course, 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington KY. Tickets are $20 at the gate, $15 in advance from the website.

Also on display will be class of rare, unique and just plain weird micro cars from the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Among the auto rarities will be a 1962 Auto Union 1000 SP, 1934 Aero 30 Convertible, a one-of-a-kind hand built 1950 Martin Stationette, a 1964 MatraSports Djet 5 and a 1994 Hobbycar B612, an amphibious sport utility vehicle with a jet drive for water travel.

Classics on display range from cars of the early 20th century such as Dodge, Marmon and Ford, to later beauties such as Auburn, Packard and Pierce Arrow as well as coach-built rarities such as Bugatti and Stutz. Other classes include European sports cars such as Jaguar and Porsche, American performance cars, and pick up trucks. Racecars on display range from a 1914 Duesenberg to a 2001 Audi LeMans racer.

There's also a silent auction, an exhibition of world-class automotive artists, a Porsche raffle, the Wells Fargo stagecoach, and a number of other attractions throughout the day. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the grounds.

The Keeneland Concours is also participating in the Take a Kid to a Car Show promotion, with coloring books and other child-friendly activities available.

The Concours weekend also includes the Bourbon Tour, Hangar Bash on Friday, July 17, and the Tour d'Elegance on Sunday, July 19. Tickets for all events are available on the website. The event is ranked as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society as well as a Top 10 Festival by the Kentucky Travel Industry Association. The Concours was featured on a recent episode of My Classic Car with Dennis Gage.
