August 11, 2015 by Global RallyCross Championship

NEW TRACK LAYOUT REVEALED FOR RED BULL GRC WASHINGTON DC PRESENTED BY VOLKSWAGENThe second annual Red Bull Global Rallycross Washington DC presented by Volkswagen will feature a brand new, nine-turn layout in RFK Stadium Lot 8. At .980 miles, the new course is one of the longest of the 2015 Red Bull GRC season, while the return of the dirt jump and multiple fast straightaways ensure some of the best racing of the season.

Drivers will start from an offset grid before charging into the first turn of the counter-clockwise course, a slight left-hander that leads into a pair of right turns. This section is followed by turn four, a 180-degree left, and the longest straightaway on the course before turns five and six. The return of the dirt jump leads into a right-curving dirt section that ends with the option to continue straight and take the Kobalt Tools Joker Lap or break left to complete the main lap. Another pair of left-handers, connected by a short straightaway, completes the lap.

Red Bull Global Rallycross Washington DC tickets are still available for both Friday and Saturday's competition. Friday will feature practice and qualifying rounds, while Saturday is comprised of semifinals, last chance qualifiers, and finals for both Supercar and GRC Lites
