(Crewe, 10 December 2015) Bentley has won 16 awards around the world in 2015, stretching from its home market, the UK, to Germany, Russia, China and the USA.

The British luxury brand is recognised for its class-leading products, outstanding design and automotive industry excellence – firmly reinforcing its position as the world's leading luxury car company.

A Multi-Award-Winning Model Range

Four different models, spanning the full range of Bentley's family, received plaudits across three continents in 2015. The most celebrated model for Bentley in 2015 was the Flying Spur, which in total claimed six prizes.

In the UK, for example, readers of the Daily Telegraph voted it the 'Best Luxury Car'. Judges praised the Flying Spur for being 'as enjoyable to drive as it is to be chauffeured in'.

The world's fastest road-going luxury sedan was also well received in Russia this year, with awards including Auto Goda's 'Car of the Year' and Klaxon magazine's Golden Klaxon both emphasising the Flying Spur's unparalleled luxury and refinement.

Bentley's pinnacle flagship Mulsanne Speed, meanwhile, was crowned 'Best of the Best – Luxury Sedan' by Robb Report. The world's fastest, ultra-luxury driving experience was praised for its 'superior performance and limitless customisation possibilities'.

The success continued with Bentley's iconic Grand Touring Continental range. The Continental GT Speed Convertible, for example, received a pair of high-profile accolades including 'Best of the Best – Convertible' from Robb Report and Digital Trends' 'Luxury Car of the Year'. The race-bred Continental GT3-R, meanwhile, was named 'Car of the Year' by Car magazine in China.

Away from the road, the Bentley Suite at The St Regis Istanbul was named 'Best Suite' at Golden Key Awards. It was praised for its hand craftsmanship and luxury, with a strikingly curvaceous design inspired by the Bentley Continental GT.

EXP10 Speed 6 – Outstanding, Dynamic Design

Bentley's EXP 10 Speed 6 concept car was awarded Gold in the Transportation category of the German Design Awards – one of the most highly respected design competitions in the world. The concept was named overall winner as a result of its 'timeless, iconic Bentley design, clever use of new materials and aesthetic dynamism'.

A panel of expert judges at the world-renowned Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este also presented EXP 10 Speed 6 with the 'Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes', following its appearance at the Italian classic and vintage car show in the summer.

In the USA, Car and Driver magazine recognised the EXP 10 Speed 6, naming the concept its 'Most Beautiful Automobile'. The high performance two-seater sports car was admired for its modern automotive design, combining craftsmanship with advanced technology.

Automotive Industry Excellence

Bentley's commitment to excellence in the automotive industry was further underlined in October, when the company was crowned European Industrial Excellence Champion – a first for a British brand.

Judges highlighted Bentley's ability to combine traditional, labour-intensive craftsmanship with efficiencies in modern vehicle production.

This prestigious award comes in the same year Bentley saw its largest ever intake of trainees, with 139 graduates, industrial placements and apprentices joining the company in 2015.
