• The Inaugural Steve McQueen Rally, Sponsored by Russo and Steele in Support of Boys Republic Kicks Off May 14th – 15th! Scottsdale, Arizona (May 05, 2016) – In keeping with our 'For Enthusiasts – By Enthusiasts'™ credo, the team at Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions is thrilled to announce our involvement with The Steve McQueen Rally, with proceeds supporting Boys Republic. Well-known to legions of 'King of Cool' fans for its key role in his youth, development, and future direction, Boys Republic was the screen and racing icon's favorite charity following his rise to fame and throughout his adult life. Steve McQueen's son, film producer and accomplished racer Chad McQueen, will be attending this outstanding event, which begins Saturday May 14th with cars split into three groups, Classic, Retro and Sports. Day 1 activities include the 8:00 am start meeting and introduction in Malibu, California followed by an action-packed day including the 9:00 am Malibu Canyon run, lunch, and then a scenic afternoon drive to Ojai and Casitas Lake, ending for the day with dinner, speakers, and an overnight stay at the beautiful Mission-style Fess Parker Doubletree by Hilton resort. Located on 24 beachfront acres, the Fess Parker will provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the amenities and breathtaking scenery. Following breakfast at the Fess Parker, Day 2 kicks off with a Sunday drive to Solvang and the Santa Ynes District, followed by lunch and a return to Santa Barbara, California by mid-afternoon. Entry fees for this exciting event are $1,000 per vehicle (two people) for the full package, including rally entrance, hotel stay (up to two per room) in Santa Barbara, dinner, lunch and breakfast included, a goodie bag with clothing and merchandise, free entrance to the Saturday June 4th Steve McQueen Car Show, and 2 free tickets to the Car Show Dinner on Friday the 3rd. Cars participating in the Rally will form a special group for judging at the show, with eligibility for Best Car honors. Alternatively for $795 per vehicle (two people), you can participate in all the great events, with the sole exception of the 2 dinner tickets to the Car show Dinner on Friday, June 3rd.
