VOLKSWAGEN GROUP OF AMERICA PROUDLY SUPPORTS THE 48TH ANNUAL LATIN AMERICAN YOUTH GALA

Herndon, VA – Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGoA) reaffirmed its commitment to the community as a proud sponsor of the 2016 Latin America Youth Center Gala held May 4 in Washington, DC. VWGoA executives joined more than 500 community and business leaders, public officials and educators as they came together to celebrate the Latin American Youth Center's (LAYC) 48 years of service to communities throughout the Washington DC area.

Since 1968, LAYC has been committed to transforming the lives of low-income youth and their families. Through comprehensive bilingual and service opportunities, the center has supported a diverse population of youth as they transition into adulthood. Through a long-term sponsorship, VWGoA has remained committed to supporting the center and its students who receive counseling, literacy classes, child placement and residential housing.

This year, the LAYC Gala themed 'Today's Dreamers, Tomorrow's Leaders' included a live auction, silent bidding and direct donations. VWGoA employees in attendance participated in the evening's dynamics and showcased their support for LAYC's education programs and ongoing operations.
