NEW YORK – Cadillac and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) today announced an expanded partnership and new level of sponsorship across men's fashion. Cadillac House will turn into an official runway venue for New York Fashion Week: Men's (NYFW: Men's), the Cadillac and CFDA Retail Lab will open to the public at the venue on July 15 and the brand will be hosting additional programming for the fashion community throughout the week.

Cadillac House as an Official NYFW: Men's Venue

Cadillac House, a new public space located on the ground level of Cadillac's global headquarters in NYC, will become an official runway venue for NYFW: Men's. Called Platform 4, Cadillac House will host a diverse selection of shows from July 12-14, including Timo Weiland, Gypsy Sport, EFM, Katama, Assembly New York and Thaddeus O'Neil. With its open veranda and oversized windows, Cadillac House puts a new twist on the traditional tucked-away runway show, allowing passersby to view the NYFW: Men's events from the outside.

'Cadillac is redefining what it means to be a 'patron of the arts,' and our partnership with the CFDA has emphasized that commitment in fashion,' said Melody Lee, Cadillac director of Brand Marketing. 'Cadillac House is meant to be a place that our community and partners can make their own dynamic experiences within. We're proud Cadillac House is now an official runaway venue for NYFW: Men's.'

Cadillac House will also serve as home to the official Opening Night Party for NYFW: Men's with a performance by Common.

Cadillac and CFDA Launch Retail Lab

In partnership with the CFDA, Cadillac earlier this year announced Retail Lab, an innovative initiative that includes a custom retail store located at Cadillac House. The program officially kicks off Thursday, July 14 with Timo Weiland as the debut designer taking over the space with a preview event following its show at Cadillac House. Retail Lab will be open to the public on Friday, July 15.

Retail Lab will feature a new designer each quarter, allowing budding talent to gain valuable retail experience under the tutelage of fashion industry experts including Reed Krakoff, Simon Doonan, Steven Alan, Stacey Bendet Eisner and more. The space within Cadillac House is a blank canvas for each designer to make their own and experiment with retail in new ways.

'Every designer aspires to a freestanding retail experience that allows them to tell their brand story and connect directly with consumers. Cadillac's commitment to the industry will help the selected designers make this a reality.'

Cadillac Hosts Additional Programming for the Fashion Community

For the sixth season, Cadillac returns as the presenting sponsor of New York Men's Day, an event that many consider to be the catalyst of the rise of menswear in New York. In addition to its onsite presence at Industria Superstudios, the brand will host Cadillac Café at Barbuto, providing NYMD attendees with a chic space to fuel up, mingle and work between shows.

In similar fashion, Cadillac House will host daily post-show Happy Hours from 5-7 p.m. each day of the week for NYFW: M guests. While at Cadillac House, guests will be able take in the beauty of a completely restored 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible.
