By: conceptcarz.com

The two-day Greenwich Concours d'Elegance featured Bugattis, Ferraris and other exotic foreign cars of all vintages at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. These extreme Supercars, known for their high-performance and radical design, are unattainable to most ordinary citizens. The list of vehicles on display included a Pagani Huayra BC, a Bugatti Veyron SS, a Lamborghini Centenario and a Ferrari LaFerrari.

Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined sports car that was named after the racing driver Pierre Veyron. The original version has a top speed of 407 km/h (253 mph). The Super Sport version of the Veyron is recognised by Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431.072 km/h (268 mph), and the roadster Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse version is the fastest roadster in the world, reaching an averaged top speed of 408.84 km/h (254.04 mph)

Lotus 340R

The Lotus 340R was first shown on the cover of the July, 1998 Autocar's cover. Later it was shown at the British Auto Show. The vehicle was homologated and road-legal. It borrowed heavily from the Elise components, such as the aluminum chassis. The brakes, suspension and close-ratio gearbox are courtesy of the 190 Sport and 135 Elise. The reasoning behind using components from the parts bin was to ensure a cost-effective vehicle.

The mid-mounted engine was a 1.8 liter VHPD (Very High Performance Derivative) Rover K series engine that produced nearly 180 horsepower. With further tuning, the horsepower jumped to the mid 190's. Due to its high tuning, it frequently failed emission regulations. Zero-to-sixty took just over four seconds while top speed and aerodynamic instability was achieved at 130 mph. The vehicle had no doors and no roof. The five-speed close-ratio manual gearbox helped supply the power to the rear wheels.

340 examples were created and all were adorned in silver and black paint.

Ferrari 458

Ferrari 458

The Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which served as a replacement for the Ferrari F430. It was first officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It featured an entirely new design, incorporating technologies developed from the company's experience in Formula 1. The body computer system was developed by Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting. Power is from a 4,499 cc (274.5 cu in) V8 engine of the 'Ferrari/Maserati' F136 engine family, producing 562 bhp. The engine features direct fuel injection, which was a first for Ferrari mid-engine setups in its road cars.

LaFerrari

LaFerrari

LaFerrari (project name, F150) is a limited production hybrid sports car built by Ferrari. LaFerrari literally means 'The Ferrari' in the sense that it is the 'definitive' Ferrari. On December 3, 2016, a LaFerrari auctioned off for $7 million (£5,743,500.00) making this car 'the most valuable 21st century automobile ever sold at auction'. LaFerrari is the first mild hybrid from Ferrari, providing the highest power output of any Ferrari whilst decreasing fuel consumption by 40 percent.

Ferrari F40

Ferrari F40

The initial production run of the Ferrari F40 was limited to about 400 examples. Even with its stratospheric price tag, the production continued until 1,315 examples were built by the time production ended in 1991. American Ferrari enthusiasts, however, had to wait until 1990 for the opportunity to own one. U.S.-specification cars traded at premiums of many thousands of dollars above their list price. Over a three-year period, only 213 examples of the F40 were built for the U.S. market.

Ford GT

Ford GT

The world was introduced to the Centennial Supercar, the Ford GT, at the 2002 North American International Auto Show. Within two years the first production car hit showrooms. The car was inspired by the legendary Ford racing cars that dominated international sports car racing in the late 1960s and it was part of Ford's 100th anniversary celebration.

Ford GT

Under the guidance of John Coletti and with the help of Ford's Special Vehicle Team, the state-of-the-art design concept came to life. It was given a hybrid aluminum space frame chassis, supercharged modular V8 and complex coil-over suspension with unequal-length control arms. Zero-to-sixty was achieved in less than four-seconds and top speed was limited to 205 mph. It was well equipped with many luxury conveniences as air conditioning, comfortable seats and a full stereo system.

Lamborghini Countach

The Countach was styled by Marcello Gandini of Bertone design studio, the same designer and studio that designed the Miura. Gandini was then a young, inexperienced designer - not very experienced in the practical, ergonomic aspects of automobile design, but at the same time unhindered by them.

Lamborghini Countach

The Countach shape was wide and low, but not very long. Its angular and wedge-shaped body was made almost entirely of flat, trapezoidal panels. The 12-cylinder Lamborghini engine provides 5 liters of displacement producing 425 horsepower.

Lamborghini Centenario

Automobili Lamborghini presented the Lamborghini Centenario at 2016 Geneva Motor Show, in the year the company celebrates the centenary of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth. Only 20 coupé and 20 roadster versions of the Centenario were produced and all 40 cars were all pre-sold, at a start price of 1.75 million euros plus tax.

Lamborghini Centenario

Using the V12 architecture, the Centenario's naturally aspirated engine produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds wîth a top speed of more than 350 km/h. Braking from 100 km/h to standstill is achieved in 30 meters.

Pagani Huayra BC

Pagani Huayra BC

An even more extreme version of the Huayra, called the Huayra BC, debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. The Huayra BC is named after the late Benny Caiola, a friend of Horacio Pagani, and the first Pagani customer. The Huayra BC has an improved version of the standard Huayra's 6.0 liter V12, twin turbocharged AMG engine, and now produces 840 PS (620 kW; 830 hp) as well as 1,100 N·m (810 lb·ft) of torque.

Just 20 examples of the Huayra BC were built and had a price tag of €2.1 million.

Porsche 918 Spyder

The Porsche 918 Spyder embodies the essence of the Porsche idea, combining pedigree motor racing technology wîth excellent everyday suitability, and maximum performance wîth minimum consumption.

Porsche 918 Spyder

The Porsche name has always been associated with engineering excellence and uncompromising performance. Nowhere is this demonstrated more than the new range-topping Porsche 918 Spyder. Not only does the car have an unbelievably powerful 4.6L V8 mid-mounted in the stylish and low slung chassis, but it also has 2 electric motors supplying a combined 887bhp at a stunning 8600RPM. This propels the car from a standstill to 62mph in just 2.5 seconds and gives a top speed of 214 mph.

Rimac Concept One

Rimac Concept One
