More Shelby Performance Cars Are UK-Bound, As Clive Sutton Is Appointed As UK Distributor•London dealer named official distributor for Shelby

•Vehicles available include 750hp supercharged F-150 Super Snake pick-up

•Clive Sutton has delivered first Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R in the UK

•Comprehensive mechanical warranty offered as standard on all Shelby models

•Clive Sutton will continue to offer Bespoke European Mustang programme

Clive Sutton, one of London's leading supercar and luxury car dealers, has been officially appointed as UK distributor for high-performance Shelby vehicles. The variety of Shelby-tuned cars and trucks sourced for UK clients is set to include the 750hp F-150 Road Truck pick-up, as well as the 50th anniversary European Mustang Super Snake with up to 750hp.

Sutton will also be importing the incredible F-150 Super Snake, a true 'super truck' with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 producing 750hp. The vehicle includes more than 45 proprietary components, including a polycarbonate bonnet and carbon-fibre air intake, Shelby-exclusive Fox shock absorbers, 18-inch Shelby engraved wheels, and a Shelby-tuned Borla exhaust system.

Only 500 Shelby-tuned F-150 pick-ups will be manufactured, including an extremely limited run of just 150 Super Snake variants. Just two examples of the latter will be coming to the UK, priced at £120,000 (incl. VAT), so prospective buyers should contact Sutton swiftly to express their interest.

All Shelby American-tuned vehicles supplied to the UK will come with a three-year, 50,000-kilometre (31,000-mile) warranty on the complete car, as well as on the Shelby components. Satellite navigation systems are also upgraded to full European specification during the build process, which takes place at two specialist centres on the continent. UK customers will be able to choose from left- and right-hand-drive models.

The announcement of Sutton's new role comes in the same week that the St John's Wood dealer has delivered the first Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R for a UK client. The GT350R employs a 526hp 5.2-litre V8 engine, mated to a bespoke Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The stripped-down car saves weight by doing without rear seats and swapping alloys for 19-inch carbon-fibre wheels. The brand-new vehicle was inspected and updated by a Ford main dealer, and homologated to meet DVLA requirements before the handover to its owner.

This offer will run alongside the existing Sutton Bespoke Mustang programme. The Shelby vehicles will appeal to those seeking exceptional performance-tuned Ford products, while Sutton's Bespoke programme will cater to those buyers who wish to create a unique customised vehicle.
