Genesis Launches Charity Golf Tournament Series

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 12, 2017 – Following a successful inaugural year as title sponsor of the PGA TOUR's Genesis Open, Genesis launches a new golf program to build more affinity with golfers throughout the country. Genesis brings its luxury automotive sponsorship to 34 of the nation's premier charity and amateur golf tournaments that includes hole-in-one opportunities to win a new Genesis vehicle, donations toward the tournament charity, along with numerous other prizes and premium giveaways. The program began earlier this summer and will conclude in late October with the Genesis Invitational event.

Two winners from each of the 34 local tournaments will be invited to compete in the Genesis Invitational at the Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Fla., Oct. 22-25, 2017. Streamsong is one of the most sought-after golf destinations, featuring two courses in the top 25 of Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Public Courses (Streamsong Red #17, Streamsong Blue #22). The spectacular courses, designed by three of the finest golf course architects in the world, sit on a recovered phosphate mine and make for two of the best links-style golf courses one can play.

At the Genesis Invitational, the overall winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Genesis Open in February 2018, and a spot in the Pro-Am at the famed Riviera Country Club, one of the best stops on the PGA TOUR. The Genesis Invitational will also include exclusive golf experiences through partnerships with Golf Digest and TrackMan.

This program further solidifies Genesis' presence in the golf landscape. On the PGA TOUR, in addition to its title sponsorship of the Genesis Open, Genesis is also the official vehicle of the CareerBuilder Challenge and the Farmers Insurance Open.
