97% Of Consignments Find New Homes At Worldwide's Tenth Annual Auburn Auction

Auburn, IN. September 12, 2017. Worldwide Auctioneers' tenth annual Labor Day Weekend sale, The Auburn Auction, delivered a 97% sell through rate and a total sale of $2.54 million on Saturday September 2nd in the fittingly historic setting of The National Auto & Truck Museum's L29 Cord Building, within the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum complex. The sale was once again an integral part of the celebrated Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, enjoying its 61st year. Top sales went to an outstanding 1938 Mercedes-Benz 320 Cabriolet B that hammered sold for $539,000 and a venerable 1907 Stoddard-Dayton Model K Runabout that realized $118,800. The Auburn Auction featured a diverse and eclectic selection of cars and motorcycles from three exciting private collections, from the dawn of the motorcar and both sides of the Atlantic, like a beautifully restored 1908 Holsman Model 10 High-Wheel Runabout that sold for $66,000, which was found prior to restoration stored inside the milking parlor of a dairy barn.
