Milton Keynes, 20 September 2017: The ŠKODA Kodiaq – the brand's highly acclaimed new SUV – has added to its trophy collection by taking the Best Seven-Seater of the Year award at the 2018 Parkers New Car Awards. ŠKODA Finance also took home Parkers silverware after being named Best Finance Scheme for 2018.
Unlike more traditional awards, Parkers based its categories on the type of cars website users looked at the most. The Kodiaq was named a clear winner of the Seven-Seater Award – seeing off competition from premium SUVs and MPVs – reinforcing its growing reputation as the perfect family all-rounder.
Commenting on the Kodiaq's title, Keith Adams, Editor, Parkers.co.uk said: 'The ŠKODA Kodiaq offers an unbeatable blend of space, practicality and value, opening up the prospect of a stylish seven-seater SUV for families who may not have considered one before. ŠKODA Finance continued the winning theme by taking the Best Finance Scheme 2018 title. Here, the judges looked at all aspects of vehicle finance, comparing products and value for money across a wide variety of models within the range. After crunching the numbers and comparing deals from all other brands, ŠKODA's value-packed finance scheme was named the outright winner.
Explaining Parker's decision, Christofer Llloyd, Finance Editor, Parkers.co.uk said: 'ŠKODA stood out for offering mostly very low APR charges, large deposit contribution discounts and, crucially, strong residual values, which mean that drivers can get desirable models for surprisingly low monthly payments.'
These latest additions to ŠKODA's award cabinet further reinforce the brand's reputation as a manufacturer of exquisitely designed cars that deliver exceptional value for money. Although it has only been on sale since March, the Kodiaq has won numerous comparison tests and has won five key industry awards, including Auto Express Best Large SUV and What Car? Best Large SUV. In addition, Top Gear Magazine named the Kodiaq as one of its Best Cars in the World.
