Lincoln is the first luxury automaker to accomplish this feat within in this timeframe.

The 100,000th vehicle, the Lincoln Continental, was presented to customer Mr. Pan in a celebration with senior executives, including Jim Hackett, President and CEO, Ford Motor Company; Peter Fleet, Group Vice President and President, Asia Pacific, Ford Motor Company; Jason Luo, Chairman and CEO, Ford China; and Amy Marentic, President, Lincoln Asia Pacific. 'Lincoln's growth in China is reflective of its commitment to The Lincoln Way – delivering compelling vehicles with world-class services, all centered on the customer' Hackett said.

The ceremony for the delivery of the new Lincoln Continental to Mr. Pan embodies The Lincoln Way: a personally crafted experience that each Lincoln client receives when purchasing a Lincoln vehicle in China.

'I fell for the Continental at first sight,' said Mr. Pan, 36, a director at an internet finance company. 'I appreciate the style, which incorporates Chinese concepts of harmony and tranquility.'

Lincoln China continues its strong momentum by delivering 45,729 vehicles in the first 10 months of 2017, with an increase of 85 percent year-on-year (YoY), making China its second largest market after the US.

Lincoln nearly doubled its China sales in the third quarter, making it the brand's best quarter yet since its entry to the market three years ago. This growth, some of the fastest in China, builds on the momentum of five record-breaking quarters.

Expansion of Lincoln stores

Lincoln's growth in China has been bolstered by its family of SUVs and sedans. With the launch of its flagship full-size luxury SUV, the Lincoln Navigator, and introduction of more SUVs to the Chinese market, Lincoln's dealer network continues to grow to meet demand.

Today Lincoln has 91 Lincoln stores in China, and is on track to reach 100 by year end. Lincolns plans to open an additional 25 stores in 2018.

To reach even more prospective Chinese luxury clients, Lincoln is piloting three new dealership concepts: a mini delivery center, a mobile delivery center and a virtual Lincoln store in Hunan Province. These alternative dealership options will allow more customers to experience the Lincoln Way.

'At Lincoln, we want to provide an exceptional ownership experience, setting the bar for luxury services that match the distinctive lifestyles of our customers,' said Marentic. 'We will continue to reinforce our commitment to China by evolving The Lincoln Way, offering more world-class products, personally crafted experiences and dealership expansion to even more Chinese consumers.'
