Chloe Kim Scores Big At Olympic Winter Games, Winning Olympic Gold Medal  PYEONGCHANG, South Korea - In her first Olympic Winter Games appearance, Team USA and Team Toyota's Chloe Kim finished first in the women's halfpipe snowboarding event on Tuesday, February 13.

Kim completed two back-to-back 1080 spins in the halfpipe competition for a best score of 98.25 on her third and final run.

'This is the best outcome I could ever ask for and it's been such a long journey,' said Kim. 'Just going home with the gold is amazing.'

Kim is competing in her first Olympic Winter Games after missing the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014 due to age restrictions. She is the only athlete in X Games history to earn three gold medals before the age of 16 and is also credited as the first female to land back-to-back 1080s and to score a perfect 100 at the 2016 U.S. Grand Prix in Park City.
