Maserati Parade On The Las Vegas Strip Wraps Up The Cash & Rocket Tour 2018

More than $500,000 raised for three non-profit organisations supported by the tour
Modena, 11 June 2018 – Forty teams, of which five were on board Maserati cars, and 80 women with high international profiles took turns at the wheel on a tour that travelled along the West Coast of the USA, from San Francisco to Las Vegas, via Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. This was the realisation of the dream of Julie Brangstrup Watts - founder of the Cash & Rocket Tour - for the 2018 edition. The 80 drivers travelled 1,160 km in 40 high performance cars.
For this charity event Maserati lined up 5 vehicles with 13 drivers from 5 continents (America, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Europe): top model Ashley Graham, with journalist-activist-influencer Noor Tagouri; fashion influencer and icon Lena Perminova with her sister Alexandra Kirienko and fashionista Leila Yavari; influencer Rachel Zeilic with the Spanish model Nieves Alvarez and influencer-fashion designer-author Gala Gonzalez; model Arizona Muse with actress Cody Horn, and the Chinese team of Yao Lu, Xiaomin Chu and Xiangnan Dong.
The Cash & Rocket Tour collected funds for three charitable organizations: Shine On in Sierra Leone, Sumbandila in South Africa and Art of Elysium. Thanks to the commitment of the participants, sponsors, and the charity auction held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, more than $500,000 was raised.
The Cash & Rocket Tour 2018 began in San Francisco on Thursday 7th June : the impressive display of cars in Union Square attracted the attention of thousands of people throughout the day, which concluded with the C&R 'Gold and Glamorous' party on the terrace of the Fairmont Hotel.
The next morning, the 80 women drivers in their red cars formed a spectacular parade from San Francisco with a stop in Monterey before heading to Santa Barbara.
The Tour then continued toward Malibu, where the participants were able to put themselves to the test on surfboards before driving to Rodeo Drive on Saturday afternoon, 9th June. The day concluded with a gala dinner and charity auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum, ending with a moving performance dedicated to women by the singer Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child.
On Sunday 10th June, the tour finally reached its destination of Las Vegas with the thrilling arrival of all 40 cars of the Cash & Rocket Tour along the Strip.
