Volvo Reports August Sales

(September 4, 2018) - Volvo Car USA, LLC, (VCUSA) reported U.S. sales of 8,970 vehicles for the month of August, an increase of 12.2 percent from the same period last year. Year-to-date VCUSA has sold 56,244 vehicles, an increase of 32.9 percent from the previous year. The new XC60 was the top seller for the month with 2,839 vehicles sold, followed directly by the XC90 with 2,810 vehicles sold. 'August marks the eighth consecutive month of double digit growth for Volvo in the United States,' said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. 'Our SUV line-up continues to be a driving force with a 37 percent increase versus August 2017.'
