Citroën Dispatch Wins Medium Van Of The Year Trophy At Commercial Fleet Awards 2018

Citroën has won another top prize, this time at the Commercial Fleet Awards 2018, with Dispatch beating its rivals to take the 'Medium Van of the Year' trophy. The judges praised Dispatch as 'a great all-rounder.' The outgoing Citroën Berlingo van was Highly Commended in the Small Van of the Year category, thanks to its strong residual values and excellent reliability.
Citroën Dispatch collected another trophy last week. On this occasion, it was at the Commercial Fleet Awards 2018, where it was named 'Medium Van of the Year', jointly with the Peugeot Expert.
The panel of judges – all respected fleet industry experts – chaired by former SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan OBE, noted that; 'The van offers best-in-class payload and towing capacity with low emissions, which makes it a clear winner. High levels of specification with a wide range of options, easy to convert and packed with safety equipment, it offers an outstanding value-for-money package. A great all-rounder.'
Dispatch beat off competition from the Ford Transit Custom, Mercedes-Benz Vito, Renault Trafic, Toyota Proace and VW Transporter to take top honours.
Dispatch was not the only Citroën van to be recognised at the awards. The outgoing Berlingo – jointly with the outgoing Peugeot Partner – was Highly Commended in the 'Small Van of the Year' category.
The judges were quick to point out the reasons why the Berlingo has proved such a consistent fleet favourite reporting that; 'The outgoing Berlingo is an excellent choice for fleets, with a range of options, including electric, strong residual values and excellent reliability.'
New Berlingo Van can be ordered now, and was recently voted International Van of the Year 2019.
The Commercial Fleet Awards 2018 were hosted by TV presenter Lisa Snowdon at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, on Thursday 29 November.
