Dacia is celebrating this evening as it picked up two wins in the annual What Car? Awards. The Sandero triumphed for the seventh-consecutive year, winning 'Best Small Car for less than £12,000', while the All-New Duster won in the 'Best Family SUV for less than £18,000' category. The What Car? Awards are among the most prestigious in the automotive industry and reflect the opinions of the vastly experienced road test team from What Car? magazine.

Since it first picked up the award in 2013, the Dacia Sandero has consistently delighted customers that choose the no-nonsense supermini. Priced from £6,995, the Sandero is well-equipped and also benefits from low running costs. Six years on from its UK launch the model still represents 'shockingly affordable' value.

Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor, said: 'The Sandero offers exceptional value, particularly in mid-level Essential trim. And no car available for similar money has anything like as much space and practicality.'

The All-New Dacia Duster was awarded the title of 'Best Family SUV for less than £18,000' at this evening's ceremony. The all-new version of the Duster has brand new exterior styling with a totally revised dashboard and interior that provide enhanced comfort and quality.

The All-New Dacia Duster SUV is available from £9,995 in a choice of four trim levels: Access, Essential, Comfort and Prestige. Equipment available on the Duster includes options never before available on the Dacia range such as keyless entry, climate control, a Blind Spot Warning system and a Multiview Camera that includes four cameras located around the vehicle.

Commenting on the win for the Duster, Huntingford said: 'There really are very few cars on sale in any class that can match the Duster's value-for-money offering. It has loads of room inside, a good boot, and the 1.5-litre diesel model is punchy too.'

Speaking on the latest award wins for the brand, Louise O'Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK, said: 'It's a terrific accolade for the Sandero to have won this What Car? Award in every year that it's been on sale. We're proud of the car and the most satisfying thing is that the customers love it too. The All-New Duster has been launched to strong critical acclaim and continues Dacia's ethos of offering quality cars at exceptional value-for-money prices.'
