Wednesday 15 May, Silverstone, UK: Dr Andy Palmer, Aston Martin Lagonda's President and Group CEO has been presented with the coveted Editor's Award at last night's industry-leading Autocar Awards, recognising his outstanding achievement and unprecedented performance at the helm of the company.
Chosen exclusively by Autocar Editor-in-Chief Mark Tisshaw, this coveted award not only recognises Dr Palmer's performance in one area, but instead over a broad subset of categories that have contributed to the overall success of Aston Martin Lagonda since his appointment in 2014.
The success of Aston Martin Lagonda's Second Century Plan was also underlined with the official presentation of a 'Five-Star Award' for the marque's Super GT, DBS Superleggera. A rare accolade presented only to models that thoroughly impress under Autocar's stringent testing parameters, DBS Superleggera joins only two other models to claim this award this year.

Palmer said upon receiving the award, 'To be able to accept this accolade from such an esteemed publication, is an incredible honour. While I appreciate its direct relevance to myself, this award also highlights the incredible work of the team at Aston Martin Lagonda and the impact that they are having within the automotive industry. You have already seen what we are capable of with the accomplishment of the first half our Second Century Plan, but I promise you that we have plenty more to come with the upcoming launch of DBX, Valkyrie and what will be the industry's leading all-electric luxury brand, Lagonda'.
