Birmingham – 12th June 2019 – Isuzu UK has been appointed as the official automotive sponsor for the Tough Mudder obstacle course series throughout the UK for the remainder of 2019.

The partnership will kick off with Tough Mudder's high profile Scotland event at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfriesshire on June 15-16. Isuzu UK Head of Marketing, George Wallis commented: 'We're really proud to be the official automotive partner with Tough Mudder. It clearly demonstrates the D-Max's position as the most tough and capable 4x4 Pick-up on the market. Combining teamwork with fun and accessibility, Tough Mudder is a life-changing challenge which inspires people to be the best they can be. That's what the Isuzu D-Max is all about.'

The award-winning Isuzu D-Max will be found at all the Tough Mudder events this year, so make sure you look out for the limited edition Tough Mudder branded vehicles out on course.

The most popular obstacle course event series in the UK, Tough Mudder has had over three million participants since it was founded in 2009 and now offers various obstacle-based challenges designed to inspire participants of all abilities and age ranges across the UK, Germany, North America and globally.

The Isuzu D-Max is the perfect fit for the popular challenge, which needs a tough and reliable pick-up. The Arctic AT35 and Utah models in the range are ideally suited for the job of supporting hard-working organisers and the hardy participants who tackle obstacle courses that test your mental and physical strength.

The Isuzu D-Max has a 3.5 tonne towing capacity, over 1 tonne payload and provides a quiet, economical driving experience. The breadth of the Isuzu D-Max range also impresses; with single, extended and double-cab formats available, as well as a wide choice of trim levels.

As per previous D-Max models, Shift-On-The-Fly 4x4 is a key feature of all 4x4 Isuzu D-Max pick-ups. The rotary dial allows the driver to select four-wheel drive as well as low range gears. Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist are fitted across the 4x4 range.

Coupled with the attractive five-year/125,000-mile warranty package and five years' roadside assistance (in the UK & Europe), the D-Max is built for the rural professionals who use it.

The Isuzu D-Max has already had a successful 2019, picking up five awards. It was crowned 'Pick-Up of The Year' at the 2019 WhatVan? Awards and in the Pick-up & 4x4 Pro Awards 2019; won best model in the 4x4 Magazine awards and Best Working Pick-up in the Professional Pickup & 4x4 awards; while also collecting Best Workhorse Pick-up Award from Trade Van Driver.
