(MAHWAH, NJ) – July 11, 2019 – This weekend, the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team and the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY team will go for gold during the ABB FIA Formula E Championship season finale races in Brooklyn. The double header season finale will take place in Red Hook, Brooklyn July 13-14, 2019.

In 2016, Jaguar was the first premium automaker to join the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship and this weekend, the brand will make history again as the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series comes to a close. This important milestone reinforces the Jaguar Land Rover commitment to electrification and the team's founding principle, 'Race to Innovate.'

Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver Mitch Evans is currently in third position in the series, poised to be a top contender for the ABB FIA Formula E championship. Evans clinched the first win for the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team earlier this year during the Rome E-Prix. Joined by driver Alex Lynn, a new addition to the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team mid-way through the season, the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team is currently in seventh place overall.

The Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series finale is expected to be a tight race, with only 20 points separating the first and fourth place drivers in the PRO Championship. For the American team, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver Bryan Sellers is currently in second place and is expected to be a top contender for the championship title, after two previous wins this season. Driver Katherine Legge, who became the first female driver to win a race during an ABB FIA Formula E weekend earlier this year, is currently fifth in the series.

'We are incredibly excited for this year's NYC E-Prix as the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team and the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY support series have both had record-setting years,' said Kim McCullough, Vice President of Marketing, Jaguar Land Rover North America. 'Our commitment to electric vehicle racing gives us tangible R&D benefits for electrification of future Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles and ultimately helps inform the creation of more innovative consumer vehicles.'
