Strong Demand For Range Topping Trim Level Drives Latest Updates For Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch

Citroën UK has confirmed that the highly distinctive C4 Cactus Hatch will receive a series of significant range updates from October of this year. Since its introduction in January 2018, demand for the revised Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch has centred heavily around the top of the range 'Flair' trim level. These latest changes will further align the Citroën brand's C-segment hatchback with UK market requirements.

Since its UK launch in January 2018, the revised Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch has been a reference for ride comfort in the UK C-segment, thanks to the pioneering Citroën Advanced Comfort® Programme. On C4 Cactus Hatch, this means features like the brand's unique suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® and sumptuous Advanced Comfort® seats. In fact, both items of equipment debuted on the revised C4 Cactus Hatch.

By offering a more refined ride and a higher specification than the price point would suggest, the model has attracted significant demand for the top of the range 'Flair' trim level, which in 2019 so far, has accounted for 80% of orders. This growing demand for 'upper' trim levels – which has been observed across several Citroën models recently – will drive a number of range changes from October 2019.

From October production, the C4 Cactus Hatch range will reduce from three to two well-appointed versions. 'Feel' trim, the current entry point to the C4 Cactus Hatch UK range, will be discontinued, in line with the weaker demand for entry-level models.

The new entry level version will therefore be the exceptionally well specified 'Origins' Collector's Edition, which was introduced earlier this year as part of the brand's centenary celebrations.

As standard, the 'Origins' trim enjoys: distinctive 17-inch 'Cross' black alloy wheels; MirrorScreen® with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto; rear parking sensors; automatic air-conditioning; automatic lights and windscreen wipers; 7-inch colour touchscreen; as well as an exclusive 'Origins' interior ambience and exterior colour pack with bronze coloured design details.

The current best-selling 'Flair' trim level remains firmly in place and will now benefit from front parking sensors and the addition of keyless entry and push button start. These features add to an already comprehensive list of equipment, which includes: Citroën Connect Box Emergency & Assistance System (emergency call system); Active Safety Brake; Speed Limit Recognition; colour reversing camera; and Citroën Connect Nav with a three-year subscription to TomTom Live for real time traffic updates.

The top of the range 'Flair' trim will continue to offer a wide variety of engine choices too, including recently introduced RDE2-compliant PureTech petrol Euro 6.3 (6d) engines, available with a manual or EAT6 automatic gearbox. 'Flair' will also benefits from the availability of BlueHDi diesel engine technology, again with a choice of manual or automatic transmission.

With these planned changes from October 2019 production, C4 Cactus Hatch will remain a benchmark in its segment for comfort, levels of equipment and innovative design features, such as its protective Airbump® panels.

The updated Citroën C4 Cactus Hatch range can be ordered now, with first deliveries commencing from late October 2019.
