Citroën UK put Welsh international referee Nigel Owens' renowned authority to the test recently in an original video to promote New C5 Aircross SUV. Highlighting the new Citroën SUV's modularity, space, and comfort, Owens deploys his legendary 'firm but fair' style – usually reserved for his day job – to befriend a different kind of beast…a Grizzly Bear!

In the light-hearted advertisement, produced in the iconic French brand's centenary year, Owens sets out to civilise his hirsute companion using the same no-nonsense approach that has cut some of the most famous names in sport down to size after a 'chat' with the equable Welshman.

And he's not alone! The award-winning SUV brings to bear its own civilised approach thanks to the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme. This includes the brand's unique suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® and the sumptuous Advanced Comfort seats with broad cushions and seat backs, and additional textured foam offering optimum comfort to even the most 'grizzly' of passengers.

Furthermore, with a boot volume of up to 720-litres, families can pack in everything they might need to enjoy a more civilised adventure – from pushchairs and picnics, through to a concert cello or their prized collection of matching luggage. Featuring three individual, sliding, folding and reclining rear seats, the C-segment SUV can comfortably accommodate even the most sizeable of companions.

New C5 Aircross SUV is packed with the latest technologies too, with up to 19 driving aids available, allowing drivers to go exploring in complete confidence. Features include ConnectedCAM Citroën®, an integrated HD camera system located behind the rear view mirror. The system can capture images and short video clips should you encounter any interesting sights or wildlife on your journey. For added peace of mind, the system also activates automatically under heavy braking or in the event of an accident to capture footage of the event.

Nigel Owens MBE commented: 'While I'm definitely more at home taming beasts of a different sort, it can never hurt to get in a bit of extra practice, can it? Joking aside, I was really impressed with the stylish interior and the smooth ride in New C5 Aircross SUV it really does offer the most civilised of adventures with its Advanced Comfort seats and new suspension.'
