Second Successive Win For The Peugeot Expert At The 2019 Commercial Fleet Awards

•PEUGEOT Expert wins Medium LCV of the Year at the Commercial Fleet awards for the second year running

•Judges highlight best-in-class payload, excellent fuel economy and wide range of variants

The PEUGEOT Expert has won the 'Medium LCV of the Year' at the Commercial Fleet Awards for the second year in a row, beating the Ford Transit Custom, Renault Trafic, Toyota ProAce, and Volkswagen Transporter to the top slot. The award was presented by TV presenter Kate Thornton at a ceremony staged at the National Motorcycle Museum last night. The award was shared with the Dispatch van from sister brand Citroën.

The judges, chaired by Editor-in-Chief of Commercial Fleet, Stephen Briers praised the Expert's 'Best in class payload, some of the lowest emissions available, excellent fuel economy and a wide range of variants, which make the Expert a clear winner in this category'. The judges also said that PEUGEOT 'Was proactive in the fleet market and customers benefit from good back up from the dealer network'.

Besides the Expert, the PEUGEOT Partner, currently 'International Van of the Year', was Highly Commended in the Commercial Fleet Awards 'Small LCV of the Year' category.

PEUGEOT LCV sales continue to outperform the market in the U.K, with total LCV registrations rising by 2.5% in September. Total PEUGEOT LCV sales to the end of September rose by 1.8% at a time when the total U.K. LCV & HCV market slumped by -22.8%.

Commenting on the award, Matthew Weston, Head of Business Sales at PEUGEOT said, 'This is great news for the Expert van, collecting this award for the second year in a row. Awards such as these and increasing our LCV share in declining market demonstrates the success of the PEUGEOT light commercial vehicle range.'
