Maxxis Tyres, a global tyre manufacturer of a range of bicycle, motorcycle, car and light truck tyres, has recently taken delivery of a fleet of 12 all-new PEUGEOT 508s for use by the company's UK field sales team. The new fleet includes a mix of Allure and GT Line Fastback models. Standard safety equipment for all models includes: PEUGEOT Connect SOS and Assistance, Advanced Automatic Emergency braking, Distance Alert and Active Lane Keeping Assistance with road edge detection, Active Blind Spot Detection and PEUGEOT Smartbeam Assistance, as well as speed limit and road sign recognition and recommendation. Other features include PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® with 10' high-definition colour touchscreen, keyless entry and push button start, power folding door mirrors, front and rear parking sensors with colour reversing camera, dual zone climate control and interior ambient lighting.

All-new 508 has proved to be a hit with fleets, drawn to the range thanks to strong residual values and low CO2 emissions, which bring corresponding low benefit-in-kind taxation for drivers.

Maxxis Tyres chose the all-new PEUGEOT 508 because it met the company's requirements for fuel economy, low emissions, comfort, suitability for work and home use and attention to design detail. The cars are all being supplied through John Grose PEUGEOT Ipswich.

'We are very happy with our new fleet of all-new PEUGEOT 508s; these cars meet our needs in terms of fuel efficiency, good value for money and comfortable all-round vehicles. Our team members use the cars for work and for home and find that they excel no matter what is asked of them in the normal course of business and personal use', says Maxxis Tyres UK Managing Director Derek McMartin.

'The class-leading design and comprehensive equipment for the all-new PEUGEOT 508 brings eye-catching design for fleet drivers as well as an extensive list of safety equipment that any fleet manager would want to help them meet their duty of care requirements', says Martin Gurney, Fleet Director for PEUGEOT, Citroën and DS Automobiles. 'A global tyre brand could obviously have chosen any car for its field sales team and we are proud that Maxxis has chosen the all-new PEUGEOT 508.'

The PEUGEOT 508 range now includes the all-new 508 HYBRID and all-new 508 SW HYBRID. Both models are available to order now alongside the 3008 SUV HYBRID and 3008 SUV GT HYBRID4. The all-new 508 HYBRID and all-new 508 SW HYBRID offer ultra-low CO2 emissions as low as 31g/km, measured using the official WLTP test cycle and help to fulfil PEUGEOT's commitment to offer electrified versions of every model by 2023.
