BLENHEIM, Ontario (11 December 2019) – RM Sotheby's is excited to present its final sale of the year, Online Only: Drive into the Holidays, featuring an eclectic gathering of seven unique motor car lots offered on rmsothebys.com. Hosted on RM Sotheby's new online auction platform, with bidding opening at 11:00am ET on Wednesday, 11 December and running through Thursday, 19 December at 1:00 pm ET, the sale represents the company's first-ever motor car offering on rmsothebys.com.

A standout star within the group is an exceedingly well-documented 1967 Austin Mini Moke, one of two originally purchased by famed Hollywood agent George 'Bullets' Durgom for himself and lifelong friend Frank Sinatra. This Mini Moke was under George's care for over two decades, before changing ownership to George's brother, John Durgom and then with John's daughter, Jane. Having undergone a recent full cosmetic detailing, the quintessential charming British beach cruiser comes to the online auction showing just under 12,000 miles on the odometer (Est. $20,000 - $30,000, offered without reserve).

Joining the Mini Moke is an 89.7-mile 2006 Ford GT, fully equipped with all four available options, featuring painted racing stripes, grey-painted brake calipers, forged-alloy BBS wheels, and upgraded McIntosh radio. Powered by a 550 hp, 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 engine and considered the last of the analog supercars, the highly sought after, as-new GT is one of 2,011 produced for 2006, of which only 494 were delivered in its color scheme of Tungsten with full racing stripes (Est. $275,000 - $325,000). An iconic 1989 Ferrari Testarossa is also available for bidding, showing less than 15,000 miles from new and accompanied by a full set of matching Schedoni luggage (Est. $125,000 - $150,000).

Additional highlights include a charming pair of Austin-Healeys, a restored 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I BN7, one of 2,825 two-seaters built and accompanied by a BMIHT certificate (Est. $50,000 - $70,000, offered without reserve), and a highly desirable numbers-matching 1966 3000 Mk II BJ8, comprehensively restored and presented in its original combination of Healey Blue over Blue interior (Est. $60,000 - $80,000, offered without reserve); and two late-model SUVS, a heavily modified 2017 Jeep Wrangler Custom, powered by 3.6-liter V-6 engine with Magnuson TVS 1320 supercharger, featuring Ferrari-style 'chairs' and Bushwacker 'flares', and driven 13,146 miles (Est. $40,000 - $50,000); and a luxurious 2018 Audi SQ5, featuring the famous quattro all-wheel-drive system with a 354 hp, 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine under the hood, and reading 8,234 miles (Est. $30,000 - $40,000).

'We are very excited to offer our clients the opportunity to acquire a diverse group of interesting classic and modern collector cars, like those offered in our Drive into the Holidays auction, with a streamlined purchasing experience on our new digital auction platform,' said Alain Squindo, Chief Operating Officer, RM Sotheby's. 'We've had great success thus far with our online-only memorabilia auctions and we are optimistic about the future of our online platform, as we continue to expand our motor car offerings outside of traditional catalogue auction events.'

Each lot offered via Online Only: Driving into the Holidays has been inspected in RM Sotheby's care and will be collected by all successful bidders from the location stipulated in each car's description on rmsothebys.com. Shipping arrangements can be made via third parties to have the items collected. The auction is governed by RM Sotheby's Bidders' Terms and Conditions.

The Online Only: Drive into the Holidays auction follows hot on the heels of the company's successful Ornamental Online: Mascots, Part II sale, featuring 60 exceptional automotive mascots. Sales for the mascots offering totaled $71,220, led by the Guerrier by Darel, ca. 1920s and the Croisière Noire by François Bazin, 1925, each achieving $2,880.
