Caterham Cars To Re-Open Dealerships
May 29, 2020 by Caterham Cars•Caterham will be re-opening its UK dealer network on Monday 1st June •In accordance with Government guidelines, all Caterham dealerships will open with rigorous Covid-19 safety measures in place •New and used car sales, test drives and hire loans are among the services Caterham dealerships will be facilitating upon re-opening •Focus placed on pre-booked appointments to minimise risk of contact Caterham Cars has confirmed it will re-open its entire UK dealer network on 1st June and is ready to fulfil customer sales requests including new and used car sales, test drives, hire loans, parts sales, aftersales and servicing. All four dealerships will open with a range of strict safety measures, as set out by Government guidelines, to keep both the customer and dealer as safe as possible and help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Some of the key safety measures put in place across Caterham's UK dealers include (but are not limited to): •Sanitisation stations and provisions at reception entrances where customers will need to check in and receive a full briefing on sanitisation procedures in place •Separate waiting areas for customers, which will be allocated to ensure minimum contact with other visitors•Customers will only be allowed to sit in showroom vehicles while accompanied by a sales representative, at a two metre distance, ensuring a consistent log of all contact •All showroom vehicles will be disinfected before and after customer interaction •Test drives will be carried out unaccompanied, but with a 'pace car' to provide assistance if needed

•Customers wanting to book a test drive will be emailed the relevant form to fill out and return digitally, along with copies of their licence and proof of address to minimise contact •Documentation will be kept to a minimum, and any forms requiring a signature will be done so on site with sanitisation procedures followed•All vehicles (purchased, hired or test driven) and keys will be sanitised in front of the customer at the point of handover •The preferred payment method will be via bank transfer, however, card transactions can be fulfilled if needed •Social distancing rules will be maintained where possible for all vehicle handovers Caterham CEO, Graham Macdonald, said: 'While we're keen to get our dealerships up and running again, it's imperative that we do so in a safe and controlled way.
