Milton Keynes, 2 July 2020: Thanks to an unbeatable combination of reliability, practicality and comfort, ŠKODA has become one of the most decorated brands in the automotive business. 2020 sees the trend continue with the award of two Auto Trader New Car Award titles that reinforce ŠKODA's reputation for delivering complete satisfaction to owners, both two legged and four.

More than 181,000 Auto Trader readers named ŠKODA as the most dependable brand in the industry, making the Czech marque the clear winner of the 2020 Auto Trader Most Reliable Brand trophy. As part of the judging process, readers were also asked to rate their cars for practicality, refinement and general ease of ownership. When the figures were combined, ŠKODA was named the clear winner.

Commenting on ŠKODA's victory, Erin Baker, Editorial Director of Auto Trader, said: 'ŠKODA wins Auto Trader's Most Reliable Brand Award this year. As well as being voted the most reliable brand, owners remarked on how easy ŠKODAs are to live with, their space and comfort.'

As in previous years, the Auto Trader Awards reflect real-world buying criteria rather than traditional industry segments. One of the more unusual awards for 2020 was for Best Car for Dog Owners. And, naturally, it was a ŠKODA that hounded down the competition to take the top spot. Thanks to its practical cabin, Simply Clever features and sheer size, Auto Trader readers named the Karoq as the perfect car for pooches.
