August 4, 2020 by Dan Vaughan
Gooding & Company's 'Geared Online' sale began on August 3rd and is accepting bids until August 7th. The auction is being held on a new platform exclusively through the company's website and mobile bidding app. This online auction offers a selection of reserve and no reserve lot 'for every level of collector.' All of the vehicles included in the online auction are held within one accessible setting, providing the unique ability to offer on-site inspections for interested bidders and to personally engage with each available lot on behalf of buyers and sellers.
Among the highlights is a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose, chassis/engine number 08921 with an estimated value of $2.75 - $3.25 million. It is a late-production torque-tube example with optional factory six-carburetor intake and external filler. Fewer than 40 examples were supplied with both of these features.
The 275 GTB was completed in September of 1966 and sold to its first owner, Pier Luigi Perri, through Parauto S.r.l., the official Ferrari concessionaire in Genova, Italy. It left the factory finished in Bianco (White) with Tan Full-Leather Upholstery.
It is one of the last two-cam 275 GTBs built, being just eight cars from the end of production.
The current bid is $1.38 million. With 3 days left, will it find new ownership?
