Peugeot Supports Police And Fire Authorities With New Fleet Of Over 1,500 VehiclesPEUGEOT has delivered 611 vehicles to 38 different Police and Fire services across the UK to support their daily operational needs. The latest delivery forms part of an order for over 1,500 new cars and vans by the 38 different authorities. The vehicles ordered include the all-new 208 and e-208, 308, 508, the multi-award winning 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV and Partner, Expert and Boxer vans.

So far this year, PEUGEOT has delivered 611 vehicles to the 38 forces, despite the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The vehicles delivered consist of: 308 and 308 SW; Traveller; 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV; Partner, Expert and Boxer vans; as well as the all-new 208 and e-208.

The all-new e-208, launched in January this year, accounted for 81 vehicles within the final total. A growing number of Police and Fire services are considering electric and hybrid vehicles, with 13% of the vehicles ordered from PEUGEOT this year being full electric. These vehicles have been put to operational use, supporting frontline activity across the UK.

This latest supply of vehicles continues the long-term relationship between PEUGEOT and the Police and Fire services, with the brand having provided over 5,000 vehicles since 2015 to date.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, PEUGEOT also continued to supply loan vehicles at no cost to support to the Police and Fire services. West Midlands Police service were one of the forces which received eight vehicles from PEUGEOT, allowing them to continue to operate efficiently on the frontline, and serve its local community throughout the lockdown period.

Gary Mallett, Fleet Manager - West Midlands Police, said: 'PEUGEOT have provided eight loan vehicles to us throughout the period the UK has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. These vehicles are used as support and backup vehicles for West Midlands Police. This in turn has ensured West Midlands Police can support the communities we serve.'

All of the vehicles supplied were used either for operational or support purposes, with the Police and Fire authorities requiring reliable and efficient models.

David Peel, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: 'It's a great testament of build quality, reliability and performance that so many of our vehicles continue to be chosen for operational purposes by the UK's Police and Fire departments. There are few greater tests than the daily use of our Police and Fire departments, and we look forward to continuing to work with our public services in the future.'
