Milton Keynes, UK –
The Volkswagen Crafter has been named Large Van of the Year in the 2021 Parkers New Car Awards for the second year in a row. The awards are judged by a team of expert reviewers, selecting winners for each of the 15 categories.
The Volkswagen Crafter has been praised for its ease of use, manoeuvrability, comfort and design, beating off tough competition from newer rivals and making it the obvious choice as Large Van of the Year.
The Parkers New Car Awards aim to reflect the views of Britain's car-buying public and recognise the best new vehicles on the market.
A team of expert reviewers has independently and rigorously tested each of the shortlisted vehicles to select the winners. The judges looked at cost-per-month, value, quality, overall excellence and whether it is fit for purpose.
CJ Hubbard, Editor of Parkers Vans and Pickups said: 'The Volkswagen Crafter is once again the Parkers Large Van of the Year in the 2021 Parkers New Car Awards – and in truth, this wasn't a difficult decision. While many rivals have been updated, none of them yet match the Crafter's outstanding ease of use. Comfortable and car-like to drive, with a brilliantly designed cab, covering long distances is a doddle yet it still offers all the manoeuvrability you need to deal with the tightest urban environments. Plenty of choice and technology seals the deal.'
