MONTEREY, Calif., February 14, 2017 — The year-long 60th anniversary celebration of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca kicks off with a new logo that bridges the past and present of the iconic circuit.

The new logo will be used throughout Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's diamond anniversary. It features elements of the original 1957 design such as the sports car and the Cypress tree landmark. The number 60 is inscribed on the race car, and the shape of the famed 11-turn raceway is incorporated prominently in the text.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca continues to thrive as a world-class facility after six decades of racing's greatest driving legends and automobiles have maneuvered the track's hills, curves, and famous 'corkscrew.'

'Many of racing's greatest names have challenged this track. Names like Hill, Moss, Gurney, Andretti, Rainey, Brabham, Rahal, Rossi, Follmer, McLaren, Shelby, Hobbs, Posey, Donohue, and so many more is what makes this one of the world's racing gems,' said Gill Campbell, CEO and general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

In addition to the new logo and the anniversary being celebrated during the events, there are several special activities planned that will be announced at a later date. The activities are designed to engage fans and celebrate the race track's rich history.
