Slated to cross the block at Worldwide Auctioneers inaugural Pacific Grove Auction out on the Monterey Peninsula this August is a remarkable offering of ten significant motorcycles from the collection of renowned motorcycle authority, Allen Smith. 'We're delighted to have been entrusted with the sale of this tightly focused and expertly-curated collection of two-wheeled legends, assembled over the years by a true enthusiast,' said John Kruse, Managing Partner & Auctioneer. 'The Allen Smith Collection includes some of the most significant early American motorcycles, as well as icons from pre-and post-war Britain, all offered for sale entirely without reserve.'

Included in the collection is an historic and award winning 1903 Indian Camelback, a museum worthy example of the world's fastest motorcycle for 1903 and the first Indian chain-drive production model, stunningly restored by vintage motorcycle expert Bradford Wilmarth. Another recipient of an outstanding Bradford Wilmarth restoration and one of the era's fastest motorcycles with inline 'four'-power, is a 1914 Henderson Model C Four, once again offered entirely without reserve. One of fewer than 500 produced in all and an early example of America's first four-cylinder motorcycles, a singular 1910 Pierce Four will also go under the hammer.

Among the iconic British motorcycles in the sale are a striking, impeccably documented and authentic, unrestored ex-Steve Klein 1939 Brough Superior SS80 and a muscular 1954 Ariel Square Four Mark II, restored by noted marque expert Chuck Walton.
