Volkswagen Designs And Delivers Bespoke Vans To Omega Red Group

Omega Red Group, the UK market leader in earthing and lightning protection, has taken delivery of a fleet of highly bespoke Transporter models from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles worked together with the team at Omega Red Group to design and produce a fleet of 44 custom-built Transporter vans to support the delivery of their services nationwide. The bespoke fleet has been kitted out with racking, specialist ladder racks, dash cams and telematics equipment and will be used by Omega Red Group's engineers to transport equipment around the country.

Omega Red Group is an operating company of SSI Services – the specialist contracting arm of South Staffordshire Plc. The group offers full turnkey solutions from design through to installation and maintenance of lightning protection, earthing and height safety systems in several locations across the country.

Available in two wheelbases and designed with outstanding workmanship, the Transporters are capable of moving loads up to 1,300 kg and have a load compartment volume of 5.8 to 9.3 m³. With flexible load areas and ample storage capacity engineers will be able to effectively deliver services across their network of branches, in a consistent, cost-effective and timely manner.
