Mecum Auctions' Gone Farmin' Achieves More Than $3.7 Million In Total Sales In DavenportMore than 550 vintage tractors and nearly 600 signs and farm relics crossed the auction block at the three-day event

WALWORTH, Wis. – Nov. 16, 2017 – Mecum Auctions' Gone Farmin', the largest vintage-tractor auction company, returned to the Mississippi Valley Fair Center in Davenport, Iowa, Nov. 9-11 for the Iowa Premier. This event featured the most extensive tractor lineup ever in Gone Farmin's history—an impressive assemblage of more than 550 tractors, including 16 private collections.

Two steel-wheeled sensations powered their way to the top two sales slots of the auction. The hammer dropped at $180,000 on the 1913 Minneapolis 40-80 (Lot F40). Known as the 'Big 40,' this was one of the most complete and correct early Minneapolis 40-80 tractors in the world. The Aultman-Taylor 30-60 (Lot F44), a top example of an Aultman-Taylor tractor—known as 'Old Trusty' for its power and endurance—sold for $162,500.

A McCormick smalt paint sign (Lot M102) from the Yates Family Collection sold for $26,000. This magnificent 1800s sign was never displayed outside and was purchased by Clarence Yates from an International dealer in Illinois.
