SALON PRIVÉ ANNOUNCES 2013 LINE-UPTAKING PLACE FROM 4TH – 6TH SEPTEMBER AT WEST LONDON'S SYON PARK, SALON PRIVÉ 2013 PROUDLY PRESENTS:

Salon Privé, the UK's most exclusive and prestigious luxury super car event and Concours d'Elégance, announces details of its 2013 line-up – the biggest and best in its eight year history.

Confirmed so far for 2013 are several UK firsts, from Futura Design, Clark Abel, Spyker, Vencer, Zagato and others, and brand new models from Bentley, Maserati, McLaren, Rolls-Royce and Startech.

The Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance judging day takes place on day 1 this year – Wednesday 4th September. Derek Bell MBE leads the most prestigious judging panel in Salon Privé history – including Sandra Button, Murray Walker OBE, Giles Taylor, Marek Reichman and Andrea Zagato – presiding over no less than 11 classes, including iconic marque celebrations of Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Porsche.

A unique and exciting new feature in 2013 is the Royal College of Art 'Concours of the Future' Design Exhibition. Ten of the hottest young undergraduates from the RCA's Vehicle Design programme have been tasked with selecting previous Concours cars and re-designing these vehicles for the modern world.

This fascinating new work will be revealed for the first time at Salon Privé on 4th September, with judging taking place on Thursday 5th, led by RCA visiting professor, Peter Stevens. Designers of the top three 'Concours of the Future' cars will be presented with trophies designed and manufactured by Bridge of Weir Leather Company, with the overall winner invited to Italy for a behind-the-scenes tour and design master-class with Andrea Zagato in Milan.

Following the success last year of the Chubb Insurance Tour d'Elégance as the opening ceremony for Salon Privé, this year's tour has been extended to a full day's celebration of classic motoring. Starting at the Royal Automobile Club's country estate, Woodcote Park in Epsom, and taking in the Brooklands Museum, Mercedes-Benz World and Circuit before a gala evening at the Hilton London Syon Park, the Tour d'Elégance on Tuesday 3rd September will get Salon Privé 2013 off to a flying start.

The format for Salon Privé 2013 is as follows:

The Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show

An all-new addition to the Salon Privé line up for 2013 is the Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show – the first of its kind in the UK – and featuring a host of new product debuts and a range of models from exotic brands from around the world.

This year's show will play host to UK reveals of new models from Clark Abel, Futura Design, Icona, Spyker, Vencer, Zagato and others. In addition, brand new models from Bentley, Maserati, McLaren, Radical, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Startech will grace the lawns of Syon House for the first time.

The manufacturer line-up is as follows: Audi, Bentley, BMW, Clark Abel, Ferrari, Futura Design, Harley-Davidson, Icona, Lexus, Maserati, McLaren, Overfinch, Radical Sportscars, Rimac, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Romans International, Spyker, Startech, SuperVettura, Touring Superleggera, Trident, Vencer, VUHL, WARR's and Zagato with more to come in the run up to 4th September.

The new Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show incorporates two new, exclusive Salon Privé exhibitions; The Hyper Car Collection and The Concepts & Prototypes Display.

The Hyper Car Collection

The new Hyper Car Collection at Salon Privé represents a unique opportunity to view a genuine selection of the world's fastest and most expensive vehicles in production. With many appearing at Salon Privé for the very first time, the collection for 2013 includes the Koenigsegg Agera R, Pagani Huayra, Ruf CT3-S, SSC Aero GT and more.

The Concepts & Prototypes Display

This display represents a rare opportunity to view some of the world's most exciting and hotly anticipated concepts and prototypes outside a traditional motor show environment – in the natural beauty of the lawns of Syon House. The Concepts & Prototypes display will feature a display of spectacular models including the Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ3, Ford Evos, Lightning GT as well as the Spyker B6 Venator and Icona Vulcano, both of which make their UK debuts at the event.

The Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance

The Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance judging day takes place on day one this year – Wednesday 4th September, with the Classes for 2013 as follows:

'Celebrating 100 Years of Aston Martin', 'The Iconic Porsche 911 at 50 years', '50 years of The Legendary Lamborghini', 'Wind in your Hair', 'The Beauty of Streamlining', 'Little Saloons – The Birth of the Berlinetta', 'Graceful Pre-War Motoring', 'Post-War Competition Greats', 'The Art of Design – Pininfarina', 'Sporting Motorcycles from the 1920s to the 1970s' and 'One-offs and Oddball Motorcycles'.

This year's Concours judging panel is without doubt the most prestigious in Salon Privé history, led again by Derek Bell MBE, who is joined by Vicki Butler-Henderson, Sandra Button, Andrew Frankel, Marcel Massini, Victor Muller, Adolfo Orsi, Steve Parrish, Tom Purves, Marek Reichman, Frank Stephenson, Peter Stevens, Giles Taylor, Murray Walker OBE, Malcolm Wheeler, David Woodhouse and Andrea Zagato.

Some outstanding Concours entrants are confirmed, with highlights for 2013 including; a unique 1949 Koeng-built Riley 105 Transformable Coupé (Beauty of Streamlining Class); a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (Celebrating 100 Years of Aston Martin), one of the most valuable and beautiful models ever produced and one of only two remaining with a monumental competition history; a 1947 Cisitalia 202 MM Spider (The Art of Design, Pininfarina), one of 30 significantly important Pininfarina designed cars built post WWII; a 1927 Bugatti T38 Coupe Fiacre (Graceful Pre-War Motoring), a wonderfully complete and original one-off example of an eight cylinder touring Bugatti; a rare 1968 Lamborghini 400GT (50 Years of The Legendary Lamborghini) believed to be one of only 6 RHD built; the one and only 1964 Lindner-Nocker Low Drag Jaguar E-Type Lightweight (Post War Competition Greats), the last racing car ever built at Jaguar's factory; a 1975 125cc Rickman-Zundapp Street Trial (Sporting Motorcycles from the 1920s to 1970s) which normally resides at the London Motorcycle Museum; and Moto Gillet, amongst many others.

Designers of the top three 'Concours of the Future' cars will be presented with trophies designed and manufactured by Bridge of Weir Leather Company and a magnum of Pommery champagne, with the overall winner invited to Milan for a behind-the-scenes tour and design master-class with Andrea Zagato at the Zagato Design Studio.

Following the success last year of the Chubb Insurance Tour d'Elégance as the opening ceremony for Salon Privé, this year's tour has been extended to a full day's celebration of classic motoring. Year two of the partnership with EFG Private Bank and its feature Art & Memorabilia Fayre sees a much larger space dedicated to this exhibit and retail area in 2013, with places already reserved for Andrew Hill, Jarrotts, John Ketchell, Roy Putt, Tim Layzell, Paul Smith, Gary Whinn and Historic Car Art, with more to be confirmed during the summer.

The Luxury Retail Village

This year sees the largest number of luxury brands ever to appear at Salon Privé, further enhancing the event's place as much more than just a car show.
