Audi Confirmed For Salon Privé 2013

Syon Park, London, 21 August 2013 – Audi is set to display the R8 V8 Spyder, RS 6 Avant and RS 4 Avant at Salon Privé 2013.

A hand-built, high-revving V8 engine mounted just behind the passenger compartment of the Audi R8 V8 Spyder launches the stunning soft-top supercar to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 187 mph. The mid-engine configuration helps to lower the centre of gravity for optimum road holding, while the slickly folding roof enables this to be enjoyed with the full benefit of a classic eight-cylinder engine note.

Also on show at this September's Salon Privé will be the RS 6 Avant. Stylistically, this super Avant is instantly recognisable as a formidable addition to the iconic RS bloodline. The muscular body, enhanced by larger wings, extended rear wheel arches and more pronounced sills, houses a 4.0 litre V8 TSFI biturbo engine, setting the pace with 560 PS and a 0-62 mph time of just 3.9 seconds. Specified with the Dynamic Package Plus, the super Avant will reach 189 mph.

The now eight-strong Audi RS family will also be represented at Salon Privé by the RS 4 Avant, a high-performance compact executive class estate capable of 0-62 mph in just 4.7 seconds and up to 174 mph. Its naturally-aspirated V8 engine channels 450 PS to its sophisticated quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system, which delivers tenacious handling in all conditions.
