November 7, 2013 by Chevrolet

2014 Chevrolet Performance Catalog Packed with New Camaro Parts, Crate Powertrains and Chevy AccessoriesChevrolet Performance announced its all-new 2014 catalog at the SEMA Show today. Highlights include a broader range of high-performance parts for fifth-generation Camaros, a new six-speed manual transmission designed for LS engine installations in older vehicles, expanded Connect & Cruise crate powertrain offerings, a new line of performance parts for Sonic, and all-new exterior and interior accessories for Chevy vehicles.

There's also a new ZZ5 crate engine and revised versions of other classic small-block crate engines, which feature updated cylinder heads and new valvetrains, supporting greater high-rpm performance and durability.

The catalog is available from Chevrolet dealers or can be downloaded at chevrolet.com.

'From the fifth-generation Camaro to classic hot rods and muscle cars, the Chevrolet Performance catalog is the first stop enthusiasts should make when planning their project,' said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. 'Our components are tested on racetracks and validated to standards unmatched in the aftermarket industry. Quite simply, they're tailored for improved performance and built to the highest standards.'

The comprehensive collection of factory-engineered performance parts and accessories for fifth-generation Camaros – 2010 model-year and newer – is designed to make V-6 and SS models more capable on the street and track, with components from the high-performance Camaro ZL1 and the road racing-oriented Camaro SS 1LE package. There's also a dedicated section for the COPO Camaro program and the parts racers can use to build their owner drag-racing Camaro.

'Whether you're running on the street, drag strip or road course, Chevrolet Performance has the parts you need – and they're all factory-engineered and validated,' said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. 'More importantly, many of the parts preserve the vehicle warranty when installed by a Chevrolet dealer – an advantage aftermarket installers cannot provide.'

New Connect & Cruise crate powertrain systems

Chevrolet Performance has added three new high-performance Connect & Cruise crate powertrain systems for 2014 – the 480-hp LS376-480, the 525-hp LS376-525 and the legendary 7.0L LS7. Each is paired with the high-strength 4L85-E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, along with the electronic control modules, wiring harnesses and other key components – all included under one part number.

The new systems join the 5.3L, LS3 and supercharged LSA systems, including kits with giving builders more choices for powering their projects. The Connect & Cruise lineup even includes emissions-compliant E-ROD LC9, LS3 and LSA systems.

New T56 Magnum for LS retro-fit installations

Designed for LS-engine retro-fit installations, Chevrolet Performance's all-new TREMEC T56 Magnum transmission kit features all-important 40-tooth reluctor ring to satisfy the electronic vehicle speed sensor used with Chevrolet Performance controllers.

This new kit, which features a convenient slip-yoke design, is the solution for builders looking for the strength of a heavy-duty transmission, the control of a manual transmission, and the drivability and efficiency benefits of an overdrive transmission. It packages the stronger components of the high-performance TR6060 transmission, used in the Camaro ZL1, to deliver a 700 lb.-ft. torque capacity.

A separate installation kit includes the bell housing, clutch release bearing, an LS7 clutch and pressure plate, and an LS7 flywheel with a 6-bolt flange – which is compatible with all LS engines except the LSA, LSX454 and LSX454R.

New ZZ5 and updated small-block crate engines

When it comes to small block power, Chevrolet Performance's engineers keep finding new ways to add muscle to the iconic American V-8. For 2014, they've developed new Fast Burn cylinder head castings that incorporate beehive-style valve springs and complementing valvetrain components. The result is greater high-rpm range and durability – and power. The heads are the stars of an all-new ZZ5 350 crate engine and an updated version of the big-torque ZZ383 stroker engine.

The ZZ5 is rated at an impressive 400 horsepower, which is more than any small block 350 offered in a production car. The ZZ383 is rated at 450 horsepower. Both engines complement those high-rpm horses with low-rpm torque – at least 300 lb.-ft. by only 1,500 rpm – for that unmistakable feeling of immediate power that comes only from the Chevrolet small block. The new heads and valvetrain are also used on the small-block CT400 circle track racing engine.

All of the parts in the 2014 Chevrolet Performance Parts catalog, which can be downloaded for free at chevrolet.com, are available directly from Chevrolet dealers. A locator on the site helps direct customers to their nearest dealer.
