PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE ADDS TO LEGENDARY TRADITION OF GIVING IN 2013

Company press release.

Celebration Raises More than $1.45 Million for Charity

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2013) -- In 2013, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance lived up to its historic reputation of exemplary automobiles, stunning scenery and unprecedented charitable giving. Before the final awards were presented on Concours Sunday, organizers announced the 2013 event had once again raised more than $1 million for charity. Final donations now total $1,458,000 for this year's show, exceeding early expectations and exemplifying a legendary pillar of the event more than six decades in the making.

'The success of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is measured in large part, and rightly so, by the cars that are shown here,' said Pebble Beach Company CEO Bill Perocchi after honoring each of the event's charitable partners at a luncheon earlier today. 'But the event also seeks to raise a substantial amount to help people in need in our local community. To be truly successful, we must accomplish both of these goals year after year.'

To date, the Pebble Beach Concours has raised more than $17 million for charity. A great many people make this possible -- Concours proceeds, generous donations from participants and sponsors, and the efforts of many volunteers all contribute to the sum of donations.

'Our passion for the automobile draws us all together. It unites people from many countries and walks of life,' said Pebble Beach Concours Chairman Sandra Button. 'It is wonderful that in sharing this passion with each other, we can also help people in need.'

Through its primary charitable partner, Pebble Beach Company Foundation, the Concours benefits more than 75 nonprofit educational programs spanning the arts, sciences, sports and technology. The Foundation also works with the Concours to oversee the Pebble Beach Company Phil Hill Scholarships, providing scholarships to students of the automotive arts and automotive restoration programs.

Additional charities that benefit directly from the Pebble Beach Concours include United Way Monterey County, Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Kinship Center, Natividad Medical Foundation, Community Hospital Foundation, and Animal Friends Rescue Project.

The 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be held on Sunday, August 17. Information and tickets are available at www.pebblebeachconcours.net.
