ALLISON: 'TWO TRACKS FOR DEVELOPMENT'

May 27, 2014 by Ferrari North America

ALLISON: 'TWO TRACKS FOR DEVELOPMENT'Maranello, May 26 - The Scuderia Ferrari is back home from the Monaco Grand Prix with the belief that he could achieve more in terms of the result. Kimi has become the protagonist of a great performance and only bad luck has deprived him of a well deserved podium, while Fernando took home more valuable points, which prevent the Red Bull to take off in the championship.

Back to Maranello, the engineers are back to work on the development along two distinct tracks, with the dual aim of bridging the gap in the short term that separates the Scuderia from direct rivals and improve methodologies following a set pattern in the long term.

The Technical Director, James Allison, took stock of the situation on www.ferrari.com: 'In Monaco we continued to analyze the areas where the F14 T can be improved and we now look at the next race in Canada, where the package will be a step ahead of the car that competed this weekend. Although our development program has been going on in recent weeks, it is obviously difficult to say exactly what this will mean for the competitiveness of the F14 T, since we do not know what evolutionary steps lead to Montreal our opponents. Any improvement will then be measured in relative terms, hoping that the response of the track repay us for all the efforts made so far.

The other direction along which runs the program of development of the Scuderia is on the management of the team and working methods in use: 'We need to be able to take full advantage of the creativity and individuality of our engineers. We do not have a magic wand but is working on setting that the approach to the work, and allowing space and time to the talents that we have in the Ferrari will emerge. '
