1974 Porsche 914 Targa

This well-preserved 914 was delivered to the Ted McWilliams Porsche+Audi dealership in Monroeville, PA. and acquired new by John Leahey of Pittsburgh, PA. The 4-lug factory Fuchs were replaced at the dealership for a full set of factory steel wheels, including the spare in the front truck. The car had been optioned with the appearance group, a radio, tartan seat covers, an electric washer pump, and the Porsche embossed cocoa mats. The exterior color was Ravenna green paint.

After John passed away, the car was put into storage, where it remained until 2011. It was discovered and purchased by an individual from New Jersey, who began a 10 month project preparing the car for concours events. At the 55th Anniversary NNJPCA it scored 224.5 out of 225 points. Later, the car was sold to an individual in Greenwich, Connecticut. Currently, the car shows just over 17,000 original miles.

The car is powered by a 1970cc overhead valve air-cooled opposed 4-cylinder engine fitted with a downdraft carburetor and delivers nearly 100 horsepower. There is a five-speed manual transmission and hydraulic disc brakes at all four corners.
