1953 Arnolt-Bristol DeLuxe Roadster

  • Coachwork by Bertone
  • Chassis Number: 404/X/3084
  • Engine Number: BS1/MKII/285
This Arnolt-Bristol Deluxe Roadster was the 84th example built. It is a left-hand drive example that retains its original engine and chassis, and initially wore 'Savid' Green paintwork and a Connolly Brown leather interior. It is believed that the first owner was George Meyer, and its second owner may have been Alan Geerts. Around 1995, it was given a restoration by Surrey Motor Sports of Niles, Michigan. It spent a decade in a prominent Mid-Western collection, and was restored to the current scheme of silvery grey paint with a central blue stripe, before arriving in the current owner's car. The interior is trimmed in matching grey leather.

This Arnolt-Bristol is powered by a 1,971cc overhead valve Bristol six-cylinder engine with triple Solex carburetors and delivers approximately 130 horsepower at 4,200 RPM. There is a four-speed manual transmission and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Since it is a Deluxe model, this car has the period option of overdrive.
