The Amilcar was brought to the United States by an ex-patriot Frenchman in un-restored condition. After arrival, the owner did an amateur restoration in the early 1990s.
The car was then purchased from the Frenchman's estate by a gentleman in California. The car was subsequently professionally restored from 2003 to 2005. The Amilcar was run once at the Monterey Historic event and was sold to a gentleman in Pennsylvania. The current owners purchased the car in June 2010.
